I had been doing so well the past few weeks with sharing 2-3 recipes in each post. But unfortunately today, I only have one recipe to share with you all. It’s just been one of those weeks where I’ve been having lots of lazy meals or takeout. However, let’s not take away from the one recipe I am sharing with you today.
I should also say that my next post will have lots of Passover foods because it starts next week so there will be a ton of cooking happening in my house. If you celebrate Passover (or Easter, because they overlap this year), I hope you have a joyous celebration.

Green Protein Smoothie:
This smoothie is based on a recipe from way back when I was cooking through the Love Real Food cookbook. The original recipe was the Cinnamon-Almond Green Smoothie (see my post here). I have made those smoothie packs many times since because they are so convenient – take it out of the freezer, pop it into the blender, add milk and blend. It’s so easy to have a nutrient-rich drink in no time.
My freezer pack had banana, spinach, peanut butter, flax seed and cinnamon. To make it a protein smoothie, I added a scoop of vanilla protein powder. This was so delicious and all you really taste is the peanut butter and banana, you would never be able to guess that there was so much goodness in there.
