So here we are at the final section of recipes in the book – drinks and desserts. This shake is a nice start here. This could be a dessert or even a morning beverage.
I have had smoothies similar to this one before, it is just made with banana, nut butter, dates, cinnamon and non dairy milk.
I never used to like dates but I’ve used them in energy bites (link here) and loved them. But in this smoothie, they add a really nice sweetness. I think I would cut their amount down though next time though because with all the bananas, I found it a little too sweet for my taste.
It was a nice creamy drink though and make sure to use frozen bananas because they make everything cold and give it a nice thicker consistency. I think to add even more nutrition to this drink, I would blend in some spinach too. But as is, this was a nice sweet treat.
I don’t really have much else to say, this was just a simple healthy drink!
