Now that I’m a few recipes into my new cookbook challenge (Brave New Meal), I thought it would be a good time to look back at some of my favourite recipes from my previous cookbook (Thug Kitchen 101).
Overall, I quite enjoyed this book. It was a nice fresh look at vegan cooking and really opened my mind to some of the possibilities of foods you can make without the use of dairy, eggs, meat, etc. I really like the large use of fruits, vegetables and fresh herbs. This book also introduced some new ingredients to me, such as tempeh which I had never cooked with before.
Like I said when I first started going through this cookbook, the writers tend to include a lot of vulgar language/words. As long as you don’t mind that kind of language, the recipes are quite good! I honestly find it quite funny to read through everything they say. This is a very informative book and it’s a good choice if you’re trying to get into cooking!
So now let’s get to some of my faves:
