Chocolate Overnight Oats

If you’ve been here a while, you may know that I eat a lot of oats. I make myself oatmeal (most of the time overnight oats, like this) once a week. It’s such a great breakfast because it takes minutes to prepare and you can flavour it however you like!

Today, I added a little chocolate touch to my breakfast with some chocolate hazelnut spread. It added a bit of richness and that was the only source of sugar in the oats. Normally, without the chocolate spread, I would use mashed banana or maple syrup as a sweetener, but those were not needed here.

Aside from oats and the spread, the only other ingredients you need are milk and some chia seeds. This really couldn’t be easier. Just mix it all in a jar and refrigerate overnight. In the morning, give it a good stir and serve with chopped fruit (ie. mango, banana, pear, apple).
