I’m one of those people who don’t like to drink hot coffee but I love it iced. I will brew a whole pot of coffee, let it cool and store it in a big jug/bottle in the fridge. One pot lasts me 1-2 weeks because I don’t drink coffee everyday. It’s so nice to have the coffee ready to go in the fridge so that I can have coffee any time. It’s such a refreshing drink on a hot summer day.
For my iced coffee, I like to keep it super simple with just a few ingredients. All I use is: cold coffee, milk (any kind will work), maple syrup and ice. You just have to mix the ingredients in your cup and enjoy – drinking with a straw makes it taste better haha.
I know everyone likes to drink their coffee differently (ex: lots of sugar, no sugar, cream, milk, black, etc), but this is just a recipe of how I like to drink mine. You can always adjust to you preferences.
Another thing I’ve experimented with (not pictured) is to make coffee ice cubes by just freezing a little additional cold coffee in an ice cube tray. By putting those in your coffee instead of regular ice, you won’t dilute the coffee flavour. But if you’re like me and you drink your iced coffee relatively fast, there’s hardly enough time for the ice to melt 😛 .
Ingredients:
- 1 cup cold coffee
- 1/3 cup milk (any kind)
- 1 tbsp maple syrup, or to taste
- Ice cubes
Directions:
- Mix coffee, milk and maple syrup in cup/mug. Finish with ice cubes and a (reusable) straw. Enjoy!
