Recipe #90: Sesame Hoisin Asparagus

Same with the cauliflower that I made a few posts ago, I usually just toss asparagus with olive oil, salt and pepper. I just love simple things that turn out well. BUT this roasted asparagus recipe was so good. It was a quick side dish that I served with roasted salmon and couscous. It made for a nice meal.

It was so easy to make this recipe and it was only 7 ingredients. The hoisin/sesame mixture was so tasty on its own, it would be great on salmon or chicken too. But it coated the asparagus nicely and smelled delicious when it was in the oven. They were so flavourful, I loved it.

This might be my new favourite way to roast asparagus and I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Final thoughts: loved these asian flavours on asparagus, really good side dish.
