I think roasted chickpeas are one of the best snacks ever. They are super healthy but they don’t taste like it.
The method in this recipe does take a little longer than I would usually spend making these, but it was worth it!! They got super crispy and they almost didn’t even taste like chickpeas anymore. To me, they had the nice satisfying crunch of popcorn which I really liked.
The taste was even better. The sweet maple syrup with cinnamon and then the kick from cayenne was so good together. These are a great snack and I may have eaten quite a few. Yum
Final thoughts: awesome way to turn a plain chickpea into a great snack
