Oatmeal is one of those things that I find people either love or hate; I am part of the former group. I know mushy oats alone doesn’t sound too exciting, but when you add ingredients like nuts and bananas, it makes things more delicious and gives the well-needed texture.
So made this cinnamon bun oatmeal and it was pretty good. Especially since it was a little colder this morning, it was nice to have such a warm and hearty breakfast. I like how fast it was to make, as we as how personalizable it is, although I just followed the recipe. The cinnamon flavour was perfect and I enjoyed the creaminess that the yogurt added to it. It also was not too sweet which I can appreciate.
Just a note that I know my picture is not the best – I was trying to be fancy and sprinkle a little extra cinnamon on top, but of course, too much came out of the bottle. I ended up covering the yogurt so that’s why you can’t see it. But trust me, it was there!
Final thoughts: hearty, warm breakfast, perfect for a cold day.
