Hello hello! If you’ve been following me for a while, you know I love to cook! I decided to embark on a new cooking adventure! I’ve wanted to do this for a while but haven’t had the time.. until now! I bought a cookbook and the goal is to cook my way through the whole thing! I’ll be using the “Yum & Yummer” book by Greta Podleski because it looked amazing. So think of this as a Julie & Julia type of situation – I’ll make every recipe as written (or as close as I can) then make a post with my results and rating/comments. I’ve made grocery lists and a calendar so I have everything figured out. There are over 100 recipes in this book and I’m aiming to do 3 recipes each week, so this is going to be about an 8 month project. I’m excited to take on this challenge and I hope you’ll follow me on this adventure!
Before I get into this recipe, I just want to say two more things: 1. When I was reading through the book, I had to take a few out recipes because of dietary restrictions. All that means is that I will be doing almost every recipe in this book. 2. I used a random list generator to randomize the order in which I make all the recipes.
Now that I got all that introduction stuff out of the way, let’s get into the first recipe. So I made these energy bites which were delicious! They were super easy and quick to make. I love that it is a healthy snack that doesn’t require any actual cooking. Another thing that added to the yumminess is that I listened to the recipe’s suggestion and added a pinch of cinnamon to the mix. I just love cinnamon.
Overall, these were very tasty and I would make them again! This was a good start to my cookbook challenge!
