If you go to paris and don’t get an authentic crepe, you are missing out. There are crepe stands/restaurants at almost every street and sometimes there are multiple on the same street.
The one in this picture was a savoury crepe with spinach and cheese. And you can see a cup of bubbly to go with it and we ate by the seine which was beautiful and we did that everyday – and sometimes multiple times each day. Anyways, so the crepe had this nice filling and it was super warm and tender and just so good. I felt very authentic eating this (haha).
I did have another crepe on this trip, but it’s not pictured here – it was a lemon crepe. I mostly got it because I wasn’t exactly sure what it was. It turned out to be a regular crepe with a syrup of lemon juice and sugar. It was really fresh and citrusy which I liked. I think I would have enjoyed it more if it was lemon curd instead, but nevertheless, it was delicious.
Crepes are another thing I’ve always wanted to make. I know they are basically a simple thinned out pancake batter but it also takes the technique to cook them right. But who knows, maybe I’ll try these out too in the future.
Also, paris was the last stop on my trip sadly, which means this is the last post in this mini-series. I hope you enjoyed reading about my travel foods (of course I ate a lot more than those select meals though) and let me know if you want to see more of this kind of content!
Your post has given me hunger pangs with the picture of crepes..adding more to my cravings 😋
