On a cold winter morning, there is nothing better than a warm breakfast. I usually like oatmeal but I had cream of wheat in my house so I thought that would be good. I mean, I think it’s just crushed up oats but it might have a couple other things in it too. Anyway, you cook it the same way as oats, but this is much quicker. I used half almond milk and half water. When it was done, I stirred in some cinnamon and brown sugar. Then in my bowl, I topped it with sliced strawberries, slivered almonds and a bit more cinnamon.
It was so warm and hearty and delicious. I guess this kind of meal has slightly an acquired taste because of the texture, but if you add crunchy toppings like I did, you may be able to get past it.
