Who thinks lasagna roll ups are better than regular lasagna? I do!
I made them for dinner last night and they were delicious. They’re probably as intensive to make as regular lasagna but much easier to eat and serve. I got 12 rolls in my dish which would serve 4-6 people.
So I simply spread a nice layer of ricotta mixture on each noodle and rolled them up. I had sauce on the bottom of the dish and tons of sauce on top of the rolls too. Baked it in the oven covered for 30 minutes then I uncovered it, sprinkled some cheese and let it back 15 minutes more.
Ricotta mixture: ricotta cheese, egg, salt, pepper, dried parsley, chili flakes.
Tomato sauce: tomato passata, salt, pepper, oregano, basil, chili flakes, sugar, couple tablespoons of cream.
