I’ve made apple chips before but I’ve ways wanted to try to make other dried fruits. I had so many kiwis in my house so I sliced those thinly, and I also sliced a couple strawberries for variety.
I put them in a 170 degree oven for 2.5 hours at first and at that point, the strawberries were done so I took them out. The kiwi took another 40 minutes after that.
It is a lot of time start to finish, but they turned out so yummy. They are on the chewier side but they’re almost like fruit leather which is delicious. If you want them crispier, you’d just have to leave them in the oven longer (if you have the patience haha).
Let me know what other fruits would be yummy with this preparation!
Also I’ve included the before and after pictures just so you can see how much they shrink in the oven – I thought it was neat.
