I saw this post on instagram from an account called FitMittenKitchen (link here) and I knew I had to make these scones. They just looked so good and I loved the recipe as soon as I saw it.
There are no eggs and only 1/4 cup of butter which is relatively low for scones. I also used half whole wheat flour and half white flour so it’s healthier overall.
And they are jam packed with little pieces of strawberries and peaches which add the slightest hint of sweetness and extra deliciousness, as well as a lot of colour.
After taking this picture, I made a little glaze with icing sugar and milk (like she did in the original recipe) and it made the scones perfect!
